The city of Buenos Aires, one of the most important in Latin America, is a great cosmopolitan and multifaceted city. With evident universalist influence, it causes amazement in tourists each time they visit the city of Buenos Aires. It is the capital of the Argentine Republic. Of European architecture, many streets recall those of Paris.
Witness its very important cultural life are its many museums. Among the theaters, the Teatro Colón stands out, one of the most important lyrical theaters in the world. It is the seat, along with various stages, of an intense musical activity that covers all genres including, of course, the typical and famous tango. Numerous orchestras, groups and soloists from all over the globe undertake trips to Buenos Aires to offer concerts. Other attractions that motivate trips to Buenos Aires also include the Metropolitan Cathedral of Buenos Aires, where the mausoleum of José de San Martín, national hero of the struggle for Argentine independence, is located; the colorful Italian neighborhood of La Boca, with its brightly colored wooden houses along the Riachuelo canal; and the Recoleta Cemetery. You can also tour the new neighborhood of Puerto Madero, and visit the premises of young designers in Palermo.
On Sundays at noon we can visit the famous antique store in the San Telmo neighborhood.
It is the main port of the nation. Its nightlife is very varied and lasts until the wee hours of the morning.
