Puerto Varas is a commune Chilena, located in the Province of Llanquihue in the X Region of Los Lagos, on the shores of Lake Llanquihue, in the heart of Patagonia Chilena. It has about 32.000 inhabitants and is located about 70 meters above sea level, on the shores of Lake Llanquihue. It was formed from the German colonization with immigrants who settled in this place around the years 1852 and 1853. The city has always stood out for its relationship with tourism, offering beautiful natural landscapes, good food, beaches, natural parks, fly fishing, proximity to thermal centers and sports activities in its surroundings such as mountaineering, skiing, golf, water sports, kayaking, horseback riding and canoeing. There are also deer hunting reserves.
