The cruise sets sail towards the extreme South Patagonian region. Through the mythical Strait of Magellan and the Beagle Channel, you will travel through Argentine Patagonia and Chilena.
CAPE DE HORNOS - BAHIA WULAIA
We will sail through the Murray Channel and Nassau Bay arriving at Cape Horn National Park, where we will disembark if weather conditions allow.
In the afternoon we will disembark at Wulaia Bay, a historical site that was one of the largest settlements of the native Yámanas canoeists. We will reach a viewpoint, walking through the Magellanic forest where lengas, coigües, cinnamon and ferns grow, among other species.
GLACIER PIA - GARIBALDI
In the morning we will disembark at the Pia fjord. We will go to the glacier viewpoint.
In the afternoon we will enter the Garibaldi fjord, we will hike to the base of a waterfall.
SINE AGOSTINI - AGUILA GLACIER - CONDOR GLACIER
In the morning we will navigate the Cockburn Channel to enter the Agostini Sound, where it will be possible to appreciate the glaciers that descend from the center of the Darwin mountain range. We will disembark in Zodiac boats for a gentle walk around a lagoon formed by the melting of the Águila Glacier, until we will come face to face.
In the afternoon we will sail in Zodiacs boats to get closer to the Condor glacier.
MAGDALENA ISLAND - PUNTA ARENAS
First thing in the morning we will disembark on Magdalena Island, if weather conditions allow it. During our walk we will see a huge colony of Magellanic penguins. In September and April, this excursion is replaced by a landing on Isla Marta where South American sea lions can be spotted from the Zodiac boats. Finally you arrive at Punta Arenas, disembarking at 11:30 am. You will have half a day to tour the city. Boarding at 18:00 p.m. Welcome toast and presentation of the Captain and the crew.
BAHIA AINSWORTH - TUCKERS ISLANDS
We will sail through the Almirantazgo Sound until we reach the vicinity of the Marinelli Glacier in Ainsworth Bay. We will go on a hike to discover a beaver dam and the wonderful sub-Antarctic Magellan forest that surrounds it. Continuing the navigation, after lunch we will visit the Tuckers islets where from the Zodiac boats we will see Magellanic penguins and Cormorants. In September and April this excursion is replaced by a hike near a glacier in Brookes Bay.
GLACIER PIA - AV. OF THE GLACIERS
We will sail along the Northwest arm of the Beagle Channel to disembark at the Pia fjord. We will make an excursion to the viewpoint of the glacier, whose main tongue extends from the top of the mountain range to the sea. Then we will continue our navigation under the majestic gaze of "Avenida de los Glaciares".
We will arrive at the Cabo de Hornos National Park, where we will disembark if weather conditions allow it.
In the afternoon we will disembark at Bahía Wulaia, a historical site that was one of the largest settlements of the native Yámanas canoeists. We will reach a viewpoint, walking through the Magellanic forest where lengas, coigües, cinnamon and ferns grow, among other species.
